Here's information on our final move out of GNAX.

Hello there,

You're receiving this message because you have an account that is currently active on our servers that will be undergoing some work. If we've sent this message in error, we apologize and feel free to reply so we can straighten that out.

This Sunday, September 3rd at 1PM EST (see this time in your location: http://timeanddate.c...im...ec=0&p1=25) we'll be physically moving the servers your site is currently located on. The total allocated time is two (2) hours and the servers will be moved in two groups. Each group is scheduled 1 hour of move time. The 1st group consists of the servers Claire, Hurley, Mr Eko, Vincent, Sayid, and Michael. The 2nd group is Walt, Jin, Sun, Libby, Ana Lucia, and Desmond. They will all be moved to our new datacenter cage in Atlanta NAP. It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to physically drive between the two facilities, but there is also time needed to turn off the servers properly, package them up, unpackage them, and plug everything back in. We don't expect to take the full 2 hours, but are allocating them just in case. If the downtime goes beyond the hour for any reason, we'll post status notices on our forums, located at http://forums.asmallorange.com.

From your own perspective, nothing should change. The new datacenter is still owned by the same company (GNAX). The network is identical and uses the same upstream providers as the current location. Your IP addresses will remain the same and the only noticeable effects will be the downtime. We have already been running services out of this new facility for several months without any major issues. I didn't receive an e-mail either. I'm pretty sure my billing address is still valid but I'll check it

Well, the first set is done now. We're just prepping for the next set and will head over shortly. I've also got to do some wiring changes around here, too. Fun...

Also, once were done with the 2nd set, I'll install the DRAC cards in Claire and Hurley to get that done finally. And we'll be all set.

I didn't recieve an e-mail either, I only found out about this because my site was down, right now it says I have alot of mysql connection errors so I'm guessing it'll come back to normal within the next hour?

I'm having those errors too. Edit: It's all good now, class. Imagine the scare I got though, when my biggest competitor that we drove out relaunches after eight months and then an hour later we suddenly go down. Two minutes of panic.

This is *outrageous*. Nobody has received that notification e-mail!!!!!

Since it's a scheduled operation, why haven't we received the notification with a 24-hrs advance?! Do you understand the meaning of a-d-v-a-n-c-e?!

I was f-ing *doing* something on that server, dammit!!!
