There seems to have been a slight problem with the database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

My domain name hasn't switch over yet because of Comcast DNs cache not expiring. So, dunno.

That's why I left imhosted.com to get away from. Activity on my site is dying because of downtime. Almost to the point of either shutting down for good or just find a place that has a reasonable and dependable dedicated server and just bite the bullet.

Yep, your mySQL down too. Guess I search around for dedicated server prices.

Im no expert but it might be because your using delta.asmallorange.com/~hobbyins/, im not expert but they cant moiter the bandwith if you use this url, maybe they shutdown some features to discourage it.

Just got this from Lee:

Hi James,
Sorry for the inconvenience, but we're doing everything we can to sort this out ASAP. -Lee

Good to see they know about it and it's being looked at ASAP.

My mailbox is getting flooded with:

Definately not the case and it's happening with www.cricketweb.net as well.

Yeah, when mysql goes down, vBulletin is useless. My traffic has died down with all the down time I had with imhosted.com. Was hoping this place would be better.

Hey guys, I'm doing everything I can to fix this ASAP-
Usually, tim handles the SQL outages, but I'm trying everything in my power.

OK, update-
the Delta Server is, of course, working fine. Apache, mail and FTP are functioning like normal (but you guys knew that). The only problem is the MySQL...
I don't have access to restart SQL on its own, the only thing I can do is to keep messaging Tim to fix it.

We're very, very sorry for the downtime.
As I know tim has mentioned, it's just the fact that Delta is a new server (2 weeks old, I believe). In a short matter of time, Delta will be tweaked and back to running like normal- Downtime like this is, as far as we're concerned, unacceptable, and won't be allowed to continue.
You have my personal deepest appologies for the inconvenience this has caused.

Well, kick me.. err let me know when it goes back up. My site will be a graveyard anyways soon. May need to shut down AIM or get flooded with instant messages.

How long before Tim is likely to be around? Just got my users emailing and messaging me like crazy sad.gif

No offense intended but shouldn't there be a backup situation in place what with Tim obviously needing to sleep? Seems a little silly if only one person at ASO can do admin tasks.

We have one of those, I believe, named Tripod-
Tripod was the backup for when Tim is offline, unfortunately, I can't reach him, either.

I'm willing to bet that, after this fiasco, Tim will install measures to allow normal staff to reboot services, and then this problem will be solved.

Oh well, I guess this is a lesson that general support staff like yourself need basic admin rights to perform functions like this.

Yep.
I've tried calling Tim, but all I'm getting is voicemail.
I don't have a number at which I can call Tripod.
Hopefully, Tim's phone will ring, and it'll wake him up...
