Hi there,

As the topic suggests, I was wondering what the maximum email attachment size is for the Nu server?  With my last host, it was 2 MB.  What's the maximum here?

Thanks!

Edit:  also wondering how to get the cool "ASO customer" graphic for these forums?   tongue.gif

Excellent, thank you.

How do I go about getting the image with the cute orange background, though?  This one produces a white image.  Do I need to edit it myself?

That's the only script that creates an ASO image, that I know of. And yes I edited mine, in paint. lol

And yes I would like to know if there is a limit as well so I can add to my Q/A guide. wink.gif

Thanks for the response, now I know what I have to do.  smile.gif

I did submit a ticket to support about the email attachment limit, and they verified that there isn't one.

For mine, I see that the max attachment size is 50MB - I thought ASO's motive was no limit (except by the HDD and BW space). So for a tiny package, if 5MB is used up, shouldnt the max attachment size be 70MB ?

Actually, there is a limit.  That limit is the amount of free space that you have in your account.  So there is no hard limit, but there is more of a floating limit.

Say, I send an attachment of 100MB (assuming 110MB space is left on my package) - would the email bounce back because the receiving email provider will accept the 100MB attachment ?
If it does bounce back with the 100MB attachment and if the email is in my sent folder, then what would happen ? It finds that only 10MB is left.

FYI,

The current email attachment size limit for shared hosting in 2012 is 2MB. This was confirmed with a support rep via chat today.
