I'm currently on the Tiny plan. I don't really use the account for much besides hosting a couple of Silverlight apps I made for Facebook. With the apps not really being utilized anymore (facebook won't allow non-ssl apps to run over an ssl connection), I've been thinking of closing out my account. If I don't renew my account in August, does my whole account get removed from the system, or does just the hosting plan get cancelled (so I can still log into the client area and re-start my hosting plan / start a different service, if I chose to).

You'll need to flag your package as cancelled (otherwise it'll auto-renew and you'll get invoiced for it, although you can get your money back in the first 30 days anyway). After that then your account *should* stay but the hosting will end, as the two are not the same thing. I've never tried it myself, but a low priority ticket to Billing will get a definitive answer.

Ah ok. The main reason for the inquiry is because the tiny plan appears to have went up from $25 / year to $35 / year. Was hoping if I did decide to re-activate in the future, I would get the same price I cancelled at.

I'm not sure you could reactivate, it'd almost certainly be a new order (since they'd have ditched the account, not just mothballed it). $35 is still cheap for hosting for a year with the ASO quality ;)
