I just signed up with ASO and have my ftp access set up. I signed in, and uploaded my files. However, if I go to the site, my files don't show up, now do they appear in the file manager. Somewhere I read the new files need to be uploaded into the public html folder in the directory but I'm not seeing anything in the directory at all. (No public html or anything else it said I would see)

Do I need to wait longer because its not set up all the way or what?

If you use cPanel file manager you should see the directories public_ftp, public_html, tmp, www and perhaps others. It's been quite a while since I had a new account and I don't remember what else is there. The files for your site should be in either public_html or www which is just an alias for public_html. The server is going to look for index.php or index.html (among others). Remember that Linux is case sensitive so something like Index.html is not going to work.

Thanks Jed. I finally sorted it out- apparently when I set up FTP access, it was directed all my files into a directory named after the user name I chose when I set it up. Weird but easy enough to fix. Thanks for the quick reply!
