Hi There. I am a hobbyist photographer/designer/web designer and I found some time to work on a project that I had wanted to do for a while: make a flash portfolio website. Last week I took some time and learned Flash/ActionScript3 and this is what I came up with:

http://www.jonathangreenart.com

There are some issues I'm working on (scalability for small resolutions) and some issues I'm not too concerned about (those who don't have Flash - since it's not really a professional website), but I'm curious to see what people think about the aesthetics/useability of the site.

I like it a lot, but the lack of scalability is extremely frustrating :-(. Even on my widescreen laptop there's not enough vertical space to get everything to fit. Fortunately, you are using Flash, which is well suited to liquid layouts.

Also, you might want to shut off selectability on most of the text--especially the logo. It's a little disconcerting to be able to highlight that.

Otherwise, nice job!

Nice work, looks pretty awesome to me. Clean layout, some really excellent photos. I like the sliding transitions, maybe if they were a little smoother... but that's a nitpick. I think the photo on the welcome screen is a good choice.

Best of luck with the site.
