Holy cow, something must have sure exploded. Right now http://status.asmallorange.com/ is showing more dark oranges than lit ones. Can we expect an official post from ASO in the status forum at some point?

Seriously, ASO, I realize that you're probably absurdly busy right now but a brief "such and such happened" post would be nice. Look at that status page!

Wow, this is a mess....I sure hope it's power related and not a hacker like the previous mass-outage.

Just checked the server status page when I noticed that my server was down and as soon as it loaded my jaw dropped. Wonder what's going on.

It's just a guess, but I don't think it is power. If I run traceroutes from the UK then I get the occasional packet through, but not enough for any connections to work. I submitted a ticket at half-past when I first spotted it and was told that they were working on it and hoped to have it resolved "soon". A little while after that and I got told they have Techs in the cage investigating (cage fighting techs caused an outage and are now investigating?)

Opened a ticket before I saw this topic. ASO said they know about the problem, but I'm interested to know the details :)

I can't actually get the status page to load :o

Status seems intermittent, perhaps because it's on palaferry (which I presume is a VPS server) and being affected to some degree by the network issues? Either that or it is because everyone is jumping on it to get status updates :D Router/switch failure would seem like the most logical cause that would give this behaviour (or DDoS, but then I'd have thought that you'd be able to null-route the bad traffic without going in the cage).

traceroute to status.asmallorange.com (207.210.84.124), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets using UDP
