Am going to buy a server to host a large forum on.

Swishing from rented dedicated hosting to my own

The server need to handle 45K+ members and a Alexa ranking around 25.000

Am thinking of a Dell coz of there reputation but am not sure.

I have a 20 mb line now who should handle this (i think) :-)

So.. what server and OS + other things will you have recommended to me?
