My account was suspended with no warning and no email about why. It's been over ten minutes since I sent an email to help@asmallorange.com and no reply. I am very, very unhappy.

I just found out that my site was suspended for 'Trademark infringement'. As far as I know I'm not infringing on any trademarks and why wasn't I given a chance to retify things before my account was shut down? I'm getting even more unhappy.

Everything has been resolved. I stepped on some toes by putting up a spoof site and the owners of the original site were threatening a lawsuit against ASO. Tim apologized for not sending me an email so I'm a happy camper again.

"Taken down without a chance to rectify things" sounds about right for the DMCA legislation. I can imagine that Tim was probably thinking about cleaning up to stop legal action and forgot the email in the heat of the moment At least you got a response - I know some hosts who'd take hours to respond, even to something like that.

It's always a shame when people don't realise that spoof and parody are legal under copyright legislation (although I guess trademarks might be a little different).
