It looks like ASO has been getting some bad reviews here in the Testimonials section lately, so I felt I should speak up and see if I could help.
I want to preface by saying that I'm not trying to argue with anyone's feelings of dissatisfaction. You should explain your experience, whether it is good or bad, because that's what the description of the forum asks for.
So just consider this some advice, nothing more or less----
1) If you have a problem, make sure the first thing you do is open a support ticket. Explain the problem you are having, when it started, and how you would like it resolved. Work with the support team, because they really do want to fix things.
2) Keep in mind that kindness goes a loooong way. When a site is down, or a server is having problems, keep in mind that the problem is often being caused by a MACHINE, not a human. Machines do not have any emotions. But when you report a problem, you're dealing with a HUMAN. So make sure you don't treat a human like a machine. It's very easy to let your frustration get the best of you, but try to keep in mind that you're angry at a machine, not a human. Don't confuse the two and mis-direct your feelings towards an innocent bystander who is trying to help you.
3) If you've worked with the support team and don't feel you're getting where you want to be, ask to have your problem flagged for Tim to read. The support team is going to help with the vast majority of the problems, but occasionally there might be a problem that needs to be addressed by the owner.
I don't know if any of this advice will help, but I hope it does. I've seen a lot of unnecessary fighting and name calling in recent months, and I think it's important to just keep things in perspective.
The thing I like about ASO is that it really is just a small group of guys, working together to keep things rolling. They are all very involved, and I feel like they really come to work each day ready to do their job to the best of their ability.
